President’s Tour - TGIF West Tour Captain: Gary Svoboda Location and Time: This short tour departs from the Tim Horton’s in Aberfoyle (#6 South exit, but head north about 1 km, Tim’s will be on your right) at 7 pm. We will finish at Gary Svoboda’s house in Guelph around 8:30-9, for some coffee and desserts around the backyard pool. Those adventurous enough should bring their swimsuits. Thanks – Gary |

5th Annual Wings & Wheels Heritage Festival Downsview Park , Toronto http://wingsandwheelsfestival.com/home.html This is an “event”, not a “tour”. Runs rain or shine. Miatas are welcome as show cars. $10.00 entry fee per car; gives driver and passenger free admission to Festival. Pre-registration is not required. Bring your folding chairs and meet your fellow TMC members at 10:00 a.m. in the show car area. Check out all the exhibits including the full size Avro Arrow replica.

2010 Fleetwood Country Cruize-In London, Ontario http://www.fleetwoodcountrycruizein.com/2010/2010.html#auto This is another event, not a tour. This show is billed as “ Canada ’s Largest Outdoor Car Show”, held on the grounds of Steve Plunkett’s estate. Over 2,500 cars are expected. Miatas are not old enough to pre-qualify for entry to the show. If there is a large enough interest by TMC members who would like to showcase their vehicles, we could seek approval from Steve Plunkett for 2011. There are large spectator parking lots and a shuttle service to the show. Directions are shown on the website or put the address below in your GPS. Bring your folding chairs (and picnic lunch if you wish) and meet your fellow TMC members near the dock on the pond (look for the Amphicars)! We will gather in this area between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. The show opens at 8:00 a.m., no judging or registration, rain or shine, $10:00 per person admission. Steve Plunkett |

Halton Hilly Hundred and Jazz Festival Tour Caption: Allen Stiehl Sign in at 9:30 am, Start at 10:00 am. at the Tim's in the plaza at the north east corner of Mountainview and Hwy#7 (Guelph Street) in Georgetown. There will be a 2-1/2 hr stop in Orangeville for everyone to grab a bite to eat on their own and enjoy the jazz at the band shell or just walk around town. We will finish in Milton around 5:00 after a short stop in Elora for ice cream and more shopping. Drivers will be asked to be leads and sweeps for this event when you show up.

Hi Everyone,
We have been invited to a special night with the Thornhill Cruisers
The event begin at 5:00 pm, on Monday June 28th 2010. Most of the display vehicles are in place by 6:30 to 7:00 pm. We usually conclude, with our 50/50 draw, at approximately 8:00 pm, depending.
The event Coordinator is prepared to cordon off a specific area, to allow our members to park together, and enjoy our cruise night. Please take a look at the Thornhill Cruisers website, www.thornhillcruisers.com I hope we can get 10-20 cars out for this event

5:00 p.m. - "scenic route" groups departure from Port Dover
6:15 p.m. - "highway route" group departure from Port Dover
6:30 p.m. - "scenic route" groups pit stop at Tim Hortons in Waterdown
6:45 p.m. - "highway route" group pit stop at Hagersville Dairy Bar
8:00 p.m. - all arrive at 5 Drive-In (lots of snacks and refreshments there, cash only - no debit or credit card)
9:00 p.m. - 1st movie starts

- if you are participating in this tour, and if you are driving solo or with a co-pilot;
- your return route preference: the "slow and scenic route" back from Port Dover (3 hours driving on some terrific roads), or to linger longer at Port Dover and/or do the "fast highway" route back (1.5 hours driving, all highway);
- if you will be attending the movies at the 5 Drive-In (Northeast Oakville, 9th Line just South of Dundas Street).
- if you will lead or sweep a group.
Once I get confirmation of what is playing on the 3 screens at the drive-in, we can see if there is a consensus of what people prefer to see (it would be nice and impressive to have a section reserved for us and our Miatas at one screen, rather than just let members scatter and fend for themselves).
Rain date policy:
This tour is a 'go' on the scheduled date, rain or shine, but if it is raining in the evening we might forego the drive-in movie.

When is a Club run not a Club run? When it's a TGIT SITP (Thank God It's Tuesday, Shakespeare In The Park) destination drive and cultural outing. All are welcome to meet at Lowville Park near Milton (see Google Maps link below) at 7:00 pm to attend a 7:30 pm Shakespeare in the Park performance of Twelfth Night by the Driftwood Theatre Company (see info link below). Admission is pay-what-you-can, and you need to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on. Arrive early to claim a good seating position. This is an outdoor venue, so performances are weather dependant and shared with local mosquitoes.
